"Night" Photo Contest Opens

Art Week 2.0 is here! ... in the form of "Art Month." We listened to your feedback and made some changes to our contest. Here's the skinny:

The contest will run for the entire month. There will be one theme for that month. Your job is to shoot something (or many things!) that fits in that theme. The themes are purposefully broad- we want to see your unique interpretation. Photos should be uploaded to our Facebook page. You can enter as many as you like using whatever process you like: digital, film, phones, alt process, manipulated... it's all allowed. Only enter photos taken during the month the contest is open, please. Our Facebook followers will vote for their favorites (as many as they wish) by simply "liking" the photos. The photo with the most likes at the end of the month is a winner and will be awarded with a pretty awesome prize at our end-of-the-semester banquet in April.

The purpose of this contest is to get you out and shooting. Its easy to let your camera gather dust during the cold and dark winter months, but hopefully some light spirited competition will help us all with that!

February's theme is "Night." (Hint: most of our meetings and speakers address night and low light photography through the month, so if you're stumped for ideas, want to try something new or simply learn how to shoot in these conditions, stop by our meetings!)
